What is SIBA?

The Society of Independent Brewers was formed in 1980 to represent the interests of the emerging new wave of micobrewers. There is now no ceiling on full brewery membership and SIBA is one of the most authoritative and representative bodies in the brewing industry.

SIBA has only one simple mission:-

To campaign on behalf of independent brewers to ensure that they have the best possible opportunity to bring their goods to market.

This will be our 3rd year attending the SIBA conference and trade day.

We will be displaying a range of auto-tilts, from single stillaging to multi cask racking systems to suit all kinds of cellar configurations.

On our stand we will have our easy to assemble Beer festival racking along with all equipment you will need to run a successful beer festival.

A-Cask lifts, with their unique grappling device, can lift and position casks and kegs effortlessly, reducing bending and straining.

The advanced design uses the lip of the barrel to raise and support during lifting, unlike other barrel lifters that use dangerous fork lifting devices never intended to lift barrels.

The lift can handle 9 galls casks, 18 galls casks and 50 litre kegs.

Minimum training required and all lifts conform to Manual Handling Legislation.

The A-Cask Hoist is an electric winch system which takes all the effort out of loading casks onto racking. Simply position the cask in front of the racking system, attach the winch, push the remote button, lift, swivel and place onto a rack.

The Hoist can be made to fit your existing cellar racking.

FILT-A-CASK© keeps beer fresher in the cask, because only filtered air is allowed into the barrel, to replace the beer that has been drawn off, this in turn allows the conditioning to remain in the beer for longer, for an improved, fresher pint.

How do I use it?

Tap and spile cask in the normal manner with a soft spile, and when the ale has “worked out” and settled, the spile is then removed and replaced with the FILT-A-CASK©.

Push the FILT-A-CASK© into the shive with a twist, this will seal the cask, and keep the ale in perfect condition until required to be drawn off.

FILT-A-CASK© is not removed until the cask is empty.

Filters require renewing on an annual basis. The non-return valve can be used again and again for a number of years.

Tests, confirmed by CAMRA, accredit the manufacturer’s claims. CAMRA do not have any objections for the product being used as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
